Today’s PLD was all about making Google Chrome, Drive and applications work for me, not against me. Developing my confidence with digital tools has been an ongoing goal, especially when it comes to planning, organising and managing time in a digital learning environment. The DFI session really highlighted how much teaching and learning has shifted—and how embracing these tools can actually make life easier.

The ManaiaKalani DFI programmed is an eye opener to how smart digital planning can support behaviour management, while also helping me cater for the wide range of skill levels in my classroom (which we all know is very real!). Instead of trying to make one approach fit everyone, digital tools allow learning to be more flexible, responsive, and engaging.

Working within the Learn, Create, Share model reminded me that learning doesn’t have to be teacher-led all the time. It’s about growing my own confidence as a learner too—and modelling that mindset for my students.
